Donald Robertson – College Principal and Trainer

Donald is registered hypnotherapist (GHR) and a UKCP and EAP registered hypno-psychotherapist. He specialises in cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), cognitive-behavioural and evidence-based approaches to hypnotherapy, philosophical approaches to therapy, and the treatment of anxiety.  He has over 15 years’ experience of teaching and clinical practice both as a hypnotherapist with a busy Harley Street clinic, and as a schools counsellor in South London. Donald has designed self-help materials as part of a clinical research project commissioned by Defra on the use of stress management techniques and hypnotherapy for noise-related stress.

Donald is the author of numerous articles, the recently published book The Discovery of Hypnosis: The Complete Writings of James Braid, The Father of Hypnotherapy (NCH) and The Philosophy of CBT and The Practice of Cognitive-Behavioural Hypnotherapy both published by Karnac.

Mandy Robertson – Director and Training Administrator

Mandy joined the UK College in November 2007, having worked in various roles in training and membership administration.

Mark Davis – Associate Trainer

Mark trained with the UK College, and is a Registered Hypnotherapist with the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR) and the National Council of Hypnotherapy (NCH).

He has a dual honours degree in Psychology and Philosophy from Sheffield University and has specialist training in Smoking Cessation, relaxation techniques and treatment for IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). Mark has also been a meditation instructor since 1990.

Gary Baker – Associate Trainer

Gary Baker is a sports psychology consultant, UKCP registered psychotherapist, and an NCH/UKCHO registered hypnotherapist specialising in the use of hypnosis in sports performance. He is Director of The Centre for Sports Hypnosis. Gary teaches the Sports Hypnosis Certificate and Marketing for Hypnotherapists courses.

Sophie Fletcher – Associate Trainer

Sophie is an experienced clinical hypnotherapist specialising in phobias and hypnosis for childbirth.  She is a course leader for the Mindful Mamma childbirth training.  Sophie is also the current executive director of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH).

Simon Clark – Internal Verifier

Simon is a fully qualified hypnotherapist and psychotherapist working in private practice. He trained with, and gained a Diploma from the National College of Hypnotherapists and Psychotherapists, is a registered member of the National Register of Hypnotherapists and Psychotherapists, and is registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). Simon is also a member of the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP), The Register of Approved Gastrointestinal Hypnotherapists and Psychotherapists, and has a certificate in NLP Psychotherapy.
