Hi, I am Arjumand Ayub, clinical psychologist from Pakistan. I am interested in the next foundation certificate starts on 11th February 2012. I wanted to ask if is IELTS (english language test) a compulsion for it or not?

Hi,

You should have already received a private email in response to your enquiries, but just in case anyone else has the same questions… Our next foundation certificate starts on 11th February. The 2012 dates should now be listed on the page above.

Jojo, you just need to enrol on our hypnotherapy certificate to obtain that award. The certificate is divided into different topics and sometimes people choose to attend these independently, but most people simply enrol on the certificate course, and attend the required seven days.

It’s not 100% clear to me what course/s I would need to attend in order to obtain a Hypnotherapy Certificate?

Is it one specific course? If so, can you let me know which one it is?
Or is it a variation of courses? If so, can you confirm which courses they are?

Hi Phil,

Unfortunately, we don’t currently have any distance learning options. We do have many online articles and there are a number of other good books on the subjects available, in addition to the ones you mention. For example, Dowd’s Cognitive Hypnotherapy, Lynn & Kirsch’s Essentials of Clinical Hypnosis, and Golden et al’s Modern Hypnotherapy. Hope that’s of some help.

Hi,
I am a Clinical Hypnotherapist in Australia.I would like to study Cognitive Hypnotherapy,but it is not available here.Is it possible to do some sort of external theory study? to enhance current knowlegde.I also have Post.Grad.Degree in Psychology,from Wollongong University,where I learned the value of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for many mental health issues.Having read Dr.Michael Yapko (2010) and Assen Alladin (2008) etc. I am convinved of the great value of the combination of CBT and Hypnosis.Maybe,if qualified,I could teach the material in Australia.I am a Prof.Member of ASCH.

I’m a Psychologist from Portugal and I’m very interested in the CBT Certificate.
However its impossible to me to attend the 1 step course next May.
Do you please send me alternatives to it?

Hi Andra, yes you can begin the training with the Introduction to Hypnosis Workshop in September and the remaining modules for the Foundation Certificate also in September/October. If you click on the links for each module, you will find all the available dates. Those shown on this page are just the next available dates.

I am currently studying Psychology in London , Undergraduate level and I would like to attend the hypnosis course but it crashes with my exam period. Are there any courses available in the summer ?Or beggining of autumn?

I’m writing this e-mail to ask you if would be possible to take part to the foundation certificate in Hypnosis or cognitive beh. psychotherapy during the month of july or august 2011.
Unfortunately I only have 14 days off during summertime and I’d be very happy to gain further insight and practice, using hypno-psychotherapy.
